Method of displaying a map and of accessing data resources pertaining to locations displayed on the map

The method involves displaying, on a mobile telephone screen, a map (1) of a place and main icons (2) representing particular places of the map. A set of secondary icons (3), corresponding to information resources relating the place corresponding to an icon (2) selected by a user of the telephone, is displayed on the screen. The user is put into communication with the resources corresponding to an icon (3) selected by the user. The secondary icon display requires only the selection of the main icon by the user. The putting into communication of the user requires only the selection of the secondary icon (3) by the user.
