Trailing arm rear suspension for a motor vehicle with transverse guide
DRIVE
February 8, 2006
An agricultural tractor rear suspension (104, 106, 118) has a suspension arm (104, 106) pivotally coupled to the chassis (102) of the tractor at a forward pivot joint (134). A guide roller (162) and interengaged guide track (166) are coupled to and between the chassis (102) and the arm (104, 106) to prevent the arm from flexing laterally outward away from the chassis and flexing laterally inward toward the chassis, thus reducing stress on the pivot joint (134).
