Navigation system with voice controlled display of special destinations

The navigation system outputs route planning and guidance information and has a voice control system that can be used to cause the output of secondary information. The route planning and guidance information can be displayed graphically in a map display on a display screen and the secondary information can be faded in or out in the form of symbols.
