"textContent": "The fibre mat manufacturing process uses first (4) and second cavities with the same shaped matrix base (7) but with the volume of the second cavity being less than that of the first and with its shape corresponding to the completed mat shape. The first cavity, formed between the matrix and a first set of dies (3), is filled by suction with a fibre mixture to give it an initial shape, and the fibres are then partially thermally bonded to hold them together while the second cavity is formed between the same matrix and a second set of dies. The thermal bonding is then completed, with the fibre mat in its final shape. The second stage can include attaching a covering layer of a dense material with an acoustic absorption porosity.",
