Clean low pressure exhaust gas recirculation

The engine includes a turbocharger (2), a particulate filter (3) and an exhaust gas recirculation system (4). The particulate filter is provided with a sulfur trap. The exhaust gas recirculation system is arranged between the outlet (6) of the particulate filter and the suction side (7) of the turbocharger.
