Twist beam axle
DRIVE
February 1, 2006
The twist beam rear axle (1) has two trailing arms (2), each with a connecting element (3) which is rigidly constructed. The connecting element is connected to a trailing arm via a coupling element (4) in such a way that a rolling movement of the motor vehicle is absorbed by the coupling element. In cross section the connecting element is constructed as a hollow round tube or hollow square section. The coupling element is designed as an elastic bush.
