Slide for vehicle seats

The longitudinal guide has two oblong rails (20,22) and roller guides (34,36) with clamp areas (50,52) to link the ends of the rails. Each clamp area has a first channel (42) with opposing first guide faces (40) which extend in the y-direction seen in the profile of the rails whereby these guide faces fix the position of a roller guide between same in the z-direction but not in the y-direction. At least one of the second guide faces is concave and the second guide faces position a guide roller defined in the yz-plane. The first guide faces are flat and preferably run in the xy plane.
