Jet engine convergent nozzle

The nozzle has controlled and follower flaps (14, 16) made up of composite ceramic matrix material. Each flap is formed as a single unit with cylindrical parts (20, 22) on a peripheral sealing joint at its upstream end and with longitudinal edges (30) performing a longitudinal sealing between the flaps. The flaps have sphere portions (26, 28) at the upstream end, where the portions (26, 28) rotate on upstream ends of adjacent flaps.
