Emergency lighting power supply unit with digital addressable control interface

An electronic fluorescent lamp ballast/choke is designed for a lamp's battery operation. For normal operation, an emergency lighting element has a digitally addressable control interface (DA-System) and a control output (LQ,DA-EVG) for the electronic fluorescent lamp ballast/choke capable of being controlled during normal operation by the DA-System. An independent claim is also included for an emergency lamp with an emergency lighting element.
