Front module for motor vehicle
DRIVE
January 25, 2006
The unit has a front side (17) with an upper region (57) placed opposite to a lower leg and/or pelvis of a pedestrian hit frontally by a vehicle. A fixation unit (19) fixes the front side on a body shell (13) of the vehicle such that the upper region is moved with respect to the body shell between a forward position in case of absence of a frontal impact and a backward position in case of the frontal impact against the pedestrian. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle having a body shell and a front bumper unit.
