Passenger restraint system

The belt roller has a belt spool rotating in a frame and a locking mechanism to block the spool selectively. A vehicle-sensitive sensor is connected to input connection points of a control unit, and an actuator to operate the locking mechanism is connected to output connection points of the control unit. A memory module may be assigned to the control unit, to store data for the control unit.
