January 11, 2006
A vehicle roof structure is provided with a roof panel (P) dampening bracket which adds mass to a roof panel (P) in order to control the resonance frequency of the roof panel (P). The dampening bracket (1) has a base part (2), a mass adding part (3) and a connecting part (4). The base part (2) is joined to a roof bow (R). The mass adding part (3) is joined to the undersurface of the roof panel (P) by an adhesive agent (B) in at least two points in both end parts of the vehicle in the front to aft direction. The connecting part (4) extends in the front to aft direction of the vehicle to interconnect the base part (2) and the mass adding part (3). The connecting part (4) has at least one bent part (5) that extends in the lateral direction of the vehicle.
