Floor mat, especially for vehicles as well as method and apparatus for producing the same

A mat eg for use in a vehicle, comprises a carpet type section (2) and an edge section (3). The edge consists of a twin component polyurethane material. The edge region has reduced thickness, and the mat section has projections on its lower surface. The edge of the mat is of varying width, and its surface has raised areas or depressions. The mat is formed by placing the mat section in a mould, closing the mould, injecting the twin component polyurethane and then removing the mat from the mould.
