Hydraulic actuation device of a parking brake and method of controlling such a device

The device has a hydraulic type actuation device (10) with check valves (18) interposed between a piston (14) and a cylinder (12). The valves selectively control communication of a front pressure chamber (16) with a pressurized hydraulic fluid supplying port (20) to establish a hydraulic actuation pressure in the chamber. The valves are controlled by an axial movement of the piston as per a driving stroke before its actuation stroke. An independent claim is also included for a method to control a parking brake device.
