Braking device for a vehicle

The device has a state detection unit (16) for detecting a state of a parking braking unit (14) and providing an item of information to a computer (20) via an electric cable (22). The electric cable connects the computer to an adjacent device (18) e.g. wheel rotation detection device, placed close to the state detection unit, where the adjacent device controls inflow of brake fluid.
