The locking system, especially for an access and driving enablement of a vehicle in the fashion of a Keyless Entry/Go-functionality, has a first (4) and a second (5) control device formed as a control unit. A transmitter (24a,24b) of the first device is allocated to at least two areas of the vehicle (1), and an operating component (16a,16b) for the release of a signal (7) from the first control device is allocated to each of the aforesaid areas of the vehicle. The transmitting power is changed of the area delimiting signal of the aforesaid transmitter allocated to that area at which the operating of the operating component takes place.
