Coupling member and open roof construction

There is provided a coupling member for temporarily coupling two parts of an open roof construction which are movable along a stationary guiding (7). The coupling member carries a pivot arm (42) with a guide projection (45) co-operating with a curved track (46). The pivot arm further comprises an engagement member (47) which may engage a projection (48) of a first open roof part when the pivot arm is in a first one of its extreme pivot positions. The engagement member disengages said projection when the pivot arm has reached its second extreme pivot position. The first part further is provided with an abutment means (49) which may engage the coupling member. The coupling member is connected to the second open roof part.
