"textContent": "Disclosed is a vehicle control system, which comprises idling stop control means for automatically stopping and starting an engine upon satisfaction of given conditions, receiving means for receiving door-lock and door-unlock signals from a portable radiowave transmitting key, door lock means for locking and unlocking a door in response to the received signals, and vehicle-start-intent detecting means for detecting a signal based on a driver's intent to start the vehicle except for the door-unlock signal. The idling stop control means is operable to automatically stop the engine in accordance with the door-lock signal, and to automatically start said engine when the vehicle-start-intent detecting means detects the vehicle-start-intent-based signal. The vehicle control system with the idling stop control function can automatically stop and start the engine in an effective manner to achieve improvement in fuel economy and reduction in emissions/noise.",
