Method for operating an internal combustion engine
DRIVE
December 28, 2005
The method involves partly opening a bypass valve (30) with a definite charging air pressure in an operating area of an internal combustion engine. A fault is recognized, when charging air pressure decreased by opening of the bypass valve remains lower than a given threshold value. The pressure in the operating area is increased to the given value dependent on a set output quantity of the engine.
