Brake caliper for an electromechanical disc brake

The caliper has an electric motor (3) actuating a ball screw spindle (4) connecting brake pads (5, 6) to grip a brake disc (7). The pad (6) has a transversal support (23) with parallel plates (23`, 23``) supported against each other by support surfaces. The support surfaces are surrounded by annular surfaces defining an annular free space (35) to allow slight inclination of the plates during functioning of the caliper.
