Restraint system for a vehicle driver

A restraining system (3) has a hoop guard (HG) (4) allocated to a driver's seat (2). The HG swivels on a horizontal swivel pin (8) between a restraining position to make a driver safe and a release position to let the driver get in and out. The HG can be locked in the restraining position.
