Cam for driving a valve in an internal combustion engine

The cam includes a fore cam area (31) which is between the cam base circle (33) and main cam area (32) and whose profiling produces a rise in the cam lift speed followed by a drop in the cam lift speed followed by a further rise in the cam lift speed. Independent claim describes valve arrangement for internal combustion engine where inlet valve and/or outlet valve can be impinged by a valve drive having profiled cam.
