Cover for opening in upper part of body side panel of a cabriolet vehicle

The cover, arranged within an upper side panel of a cabriolet vehicle, is provided such that when opening and closing the cover a linkage part (20) of a lateral link is moved. The cover has a quick release lock which is opened during the opening of the cover and guided during movement of the cover such that it is moved downward towards a latch and released under passage in a forward direction of the vehicle. The guide is provided in such a way that the cover is removed during transverse movement direction of the vehicle. The quick release mechanism is flexibly positioned into the closing position.
