Adaptive driver's intention estimation method and system

Intention estimation methods and systems that are adaptive to changes in environment and/or operations are disclosed. An exemplary system includes a detector (10) configured to detect at least one of a state of environment around a vehicle, and an operation performed by the driver of the vehicle. An intention estimation device (60) is provided to generate an estimated intention of the driver based on the detected operation performed by the driver and an adjustable criterion.
