Source
The device has an acquiring unit (20) to acquire a current value of a control parameter indicating vehicle path. An acquiring unit (40) acquires an evolution parameter indicating future evolution of the path. A prediction unit (50) predicts a future value of the control parameter based on its current value and evolution parameter. An adaptation unit (30) adapts characteristics of light beams produced by headlights based on future value. The characteristic of the light beams is their orientation. The control parameter is selected from the parameters such as angle of steering wheel, rate of yaw, lateral acceleration, transversal speed, or a combination of all the parameters. The evolution parameter is selected from the parameters such as angular velocity of steering wheel, variation of rate of yaw, variation of lateral acceleration, variation of transversal speed, or combination of the parameters. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method to control a lighting device (B) a motor vehicle comprising a lighting device.
