Tool for the removal of run flat type tyres comprising an external "tubeless" type carcass equipped with two beads having the same diameter, and a separate internal toroidal ring, generally of a thin elastically deformable material, said tyre being intended to be associated with a respective rim bearing two side seats for attaching said beads, wherein said beads are inserted between the bead locking anchor edges of said seats and the lateral sides of said toroidal ring; said tool comprises a generally rigid element in sheet material having a curved form similar to the external profile of the rim, and after bead removal from the tyre, intended to be inserted between the tyre and the respective rim in order to form a sliding element for the tyre, connecting the external circumferential margin of the bead locking anchor edge at the position where said element is inserted to form a type of bridge with the bead seat at a certain distance from said bead locking anchor seat.
