The carrier (22) is plastically deformed when a front hood is subjected to a vertical force greater than a predetermined threshold corresponding to a force resulting from a pedestrian impact. The carrier is formed by forming a wall of an apron in truncated cone whose plane upper part (28) connected to lateral parts supports a bearing (24). The carrier is projected through a circular opening of a trim (18) of the apron. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a front hood support of a motor vehicle having a bearing carrier (B) a trim of an apron having a bearing carrier (C) an armature of a bumper having a bearing carrier (D) a head of a bumper having a bearing carrier.
