The device has an input device (1) recording locking and unlocking operations of a parking brake of a vehicle. An electronic control unit (2) detects a signal from the device (1) and controls the brake. The device (1) has a push-button (3) coupled to a switch (4) that is wired in two loops, such that the device (1) generates one signal for opening contacts (4a, 4b) in one loop and another signal for closing the contacts in another loop. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle comprising an electric parking vehicle.
