The seat for an armoured vehicle is fastened on an upper suspension (2) for protection against landmines, and has a seat covering and restraining system. The suspension is constructed as a bar arrangement (1) which is completely decoupled from the floor of the vehicle. The seat cover consists of a sitting surface (8), a backrest, two side walls (9) and elastic suspension straps (6) sewn thereupon. The seat cover consists of a textile fabric in the form of a ballistically protective material.
