Tread brake device for the bogie of a railway vehicle with spherically pivoted hanging support links

A shoe/block braking device (1) of a bogie has two wheel sets each having two wheels and two braking beams (10,12) which carry the braking shoes (14) and are joined to one another via pressure rods (8) which can be actuated by at least one pressure-actuated cylinder-piston drive (20a,20b) for brake engagement of the braking block (14) with assigned braking surfaces of the wheels. At least one part of the braking beam (10) directly forms the cylinder (46) of the cylinder piston drive (20a,20b).
