The chain has an electric machine (4) connected to a drive wheel (40). A dissipation resistor (8) is connected to an electric line (61) connected to a fuel cell (3), and is dipped in liquid of a cooling circuit. The fuel cell operation is stopped when an electric energy control unit (6) detects that energy absorbed by load connected to the line is lower than electric energy send on the line, to stop the electric energy production.
