New grip-forming profile made of elastomer or plastomer to be mounted on a projecting motor vehicle body part

The profile (1) has a U or omega shaped cross section, an outer layer (2), and a series of corrugations (5) or hollowed parts on its inner surface, at the base of the section. The corrugations or the parts are made by repeated variation of the thickness of the profile. The corrugations are repeated with a relatively constant gap ranging from 2 to 8 millimeters (mm), and the parts are repeated with a constant gap ranging from 3 to 10 mm. An independent claim is also included for a sealing device for opening of a motor vehicle, comprising a profile.
