The piston rod (14) of the latter is coupled via a coupling element (17) with a latch lever (19) secured to the frame (2) of the current wiper and held in the rest position by a latch spring (21). The latch (28) of the latch lever is engaged by a release cylinder (29) for movement from the rest position against the latch spring bias, until the second end (18) of the coupling element passes a dead point, for movement of the oscillation arm for the current wiper shoe into engagement with the third rail via a main spring (11).",
