Combustion heater system for a vehicle

The burner heating system includes a heating unit (12) with a burner (14) and a heat exchanger (16) connected to the engine coolant circuit (18). The heating unit is controlled by a control unit (32). A summer/winter difference unit supplies the control unit with difference information. The control unit uses the heating unit to add heat during winter but not in summer.
