Automobile tires with running strips, peripheral slots (3) of positive profile, e.g. running strips (3) of blocks in a block series with pocket slots (sic)(4, 5) different from peripheral slots (3), where pocket slots (5) continuously alter their inclination to the radial direction, so that the side faces (7) make a larger angle with the radial direction at running strips (3) and deeper slots can be obtained.
