A pneumatic tire (1) comprisesa carcass (6) extending between bead portions (4) through a tread portion (2) and sidewall portions (3) anda belt (7) disposed radially outside the carcass in the tread portion, said belt comprisingat least one belt ply (7A,7B) made of parallel cords (10,11) embedded in a composite topping rubber layer (G,12),said composite topping rubber layer formed at least two kinds of topping rubbers (12a,12b) having different complex elastic moduli, andsaid topping rubbers alternately disposed in a circumferential direction of the tire.
