Method for actuating a reversible protection system in a motor vehicle
DRIVE
September 28, 2005
Sensors trigger a reversible passenger protection device (RPPD) (113) and record data on driving conditions. The RPPD can be released before collision time. The data is monitored regarding the need for emergency braking (103) and regarding oversteering (111) and understeering (110). If a need for emergency braking or under/oversteering is detected, the RPPD is released.
