Locking collar and mounting method for a stabiliser bar of a vehicle suspension

The ring has a closed circlet (12) mounted on a stabilizer bar and having inner diameter (D) greater than a diameter of the bar. The circlet has an inner notch (15) and an outer notch (17), where each notch extends along a longitudinal dimension of the ring. The circlet has a constant rectangular radial section beyond the notches. The notches have radial depth between one-third and two-third of thickness of the ring.
