Solenoid valve with adjustable armature lift and method for adjusting the same

The solenoid valve (20) with adjustable armature travel, especially for a fuel injector for an internal combustion engine, has an elastically deformable distance ring (30) installed between the valve casing (25) and injector housing (11). Through a deformation of the distance ring over the distance between the valve casing and injector housing the armature travel is adjustable. The distance ring is a pressurized metal hollow ring or a pressurized, elastically deformable, metal ring, and is filled with fluid. An independent claim is included for a method for the adjusting of an armature travel for a solenoid valve.
