The motor vehicle window, in particular rear window, is made of a thermoplastic material. A protective foil is applied to the thermoplastic material, at least in regions. The heating wire and/or an aerial can be printed or otherwise applied to the protective foil; or the thermoplastic material may have conducting material applied to it so that it and/or the foil can be heated when current is passed through it.
