Vehicle seat with pivotal headrest

The motor vehicle's seat has a pivotable headrest (8) fitted on the seat back and in the form of an impact component. The pivot axis (5) of the headrest or at least a longitudinal section of it is rotationally fixed in relation to the seat back. A toggle lever is installed in the impact component, whereby the first end of the lever radially furthest from the pivot axis is rotatably mounted on an axis connected to the impact component. For locking of the in-use position of the headrest the toggle lever maintains a rotational moment lock between the impact component and pivot axis of the headrest.
