Sliding roof arrangement

The system has two carriages movable in two guide rails, and two holding parts, each coupled with one of the carriages (12) and with a rear edge of a cover (8). The holding parts are shiftable between a position in which there is a clearance between the holding parts, and another position in which there is another clearance between the holding parts. The latter clearance is larger than the former clearance.
