Vehicle air conditioner

The vehicle air conditioner comprises an electric condenser (11) for air conditioning which is charged from an in-vehicle battery (2), and an inverter (16) for an electrically operated compressor (20) for air conditioning which is supplied with electric power from the in-vehicle battery. A switching device (15) for air conditioning is provided between the electric condenser (11) for air conditioning and the inverter for an electrically operated compressor. The switching device is opened at an abnormal high voltage in accordance with a terminal voltage of the condenser.
