A battery contact mechanism urging a battery in a direction of one electrode of the battery by making pressure contact between a conductive contact member and the other electrode of the battery, includes a torsion coil spring. A rotational force is given to the contact member by the torsion coil spring. The contact member is provided separately from the torsion coil spring.
