In at least one bearing section (10), on the support surface (12), several recesses (24) retaining lubricant are provided. Alternatively the collar (4) interior (7) is constructed using a sliding structure (89) in part of the bearing section. The corresponding steering section is also claimed. An independent claim is included for the method of manufacturing the corresponding locking collar.
