The optimum value of a fuel injection parameter is adjusted based on a temperature difference between a bore wall temperature, which is a temperature of a cylinder bore wall on a combustion chamber side, and a coolant temperature, which is a temperature of a coolant that cools the cylinder bore wall. Estimating means estimates a difference (Thbd) between a difference between a bore wall temperature and a coolant temperature during a transition operation time and a difference between a bore wall temperature and a coolant temperature during a steady operation time, the difference (Thbd) being caused due to a sudden change in a load of the diesel engine (1) (step S103). Correcting means calculates a transition correction amount corresponding to the estimated difference (Thbd) (step S104). Then, the correcting means corrects the fuel injection parameter in consideration of the transition correction amount (step S106).
