Regeneration process of a particulate filter and exhaust gas purifying system with a particulate filter

Process for regenerating a particle filter or separator in the exhaust gas tract of an internal combustion engine in which periodic regeneration of the particle filter or separator is carried out by a control device comprises a first soot-burning phase and a second soot-burning phase. The control device sets a first soot-burning rate in the first soot-burning phase and a higher second soot-burning rate in the second soot-burning phase. Independent claims are also included for: (1) Exhaust gas purification system, especially for carrying out the above process; and (2) Motor vehicle comprising the above exhaust gas purification system.
