Sinuous chevron exhaust nozzle

A gas turbine engine exhaust nozzle (38) includes a row of laterally sinuous chevrons (42) extending from an aft end of an exhaust duct (40). The chevrons (42) have radially outer and inner surfaces (44, 46) bound by a laterally sinuous trailing edge (48) extending between a base (50) of the chevrons adjoining the duct and an axially opposite apex (52) of the chevrons. Each chevron (42) has a compound arcuate contour both axially and laterally, and the sinuous trailing edge (48) of the chevrons further compounds the arcuate configuration of each chevron.
