Bubble element for a spirit level has a bubble body with ring markings (5) to indicate the central position of the bubble. The top side (10) of the bubble body is curved in a convex manner in the area of the bubble rings. To achieve this the wall thickness on the top side of the bubble body increases towards the center of the body in a longitudinal direction.
