Hybrid engine

A hybrid engine comprises an electric generator 12, an electric motor 13, and a rotary internal combustion engine 14 including pivoted vane elements mounted on a rotor and biased into engagement to sequentially form intake, compression, combustion and exhaust chambers between the rotor and an annular chamber.
